Is Sun Valley Solar Solutions a good choice?

Sun Valley Solar Solutions fits Arizona homeowners who want an in-house installer with published workmanship terms. The company says it was founded in 2006, does not subcontract residential work, and backs its installs with a 10-year workmanship warranty and a 10-year roof penetration warranty. Its own prepaid lease is owned by an affiliated leasing company for the first five years, so compare that contract against a loan or cash purchase before you sign.

Why choose Sun Valley Solar Solutions, and why you might not

What Sun Valley does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.

Reasons to choose Sun Valley Solar

  • It covers roof leaks for 10 yearsSun Valley covers leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof for 10 years. It covers its own work for 10 years, too. Of the three alternatives below, Semper and Solar Topps list no set roof leak term.

  • Its own crews do the workSun Valley says it has worked since 2006 and does not hand home installs to another company. Its good reviews praise careful electricians.

  • It takes extra care on the installIts install method runs wires through metal pipe and adds an extra layer of sealant under each roof mount. Ask to see this in your quote.

  • It puts in Tesla batteriesSun Valley says it is a certified Tesla installer for home batteries. Its good reviews mention a battery service visit within 48 hours.

Reasons to look at others

  • Its prepaid plan is not yours at firstWith its prepaid rent plan, a leasing company owns the panels for five years. After that, you keep renting or buy them at a price set then. Ask how that price is worked out.

  • Its warranty on its own work is 10 yearsSolar Optimum lists 25 years on its own work. Ask Sun Valley what happens if something it put in fails in year 11.

  • It does not name its lenderSun Valley offers a solar loan but does not name the lender or the terms. Ask who you would pay, and for how long.

  • Some owners paid for warranty repairsIts negative reviews describe visit fees on warranty parts, a system off for weeks while a new inverter was on order, and a bill for work said to be covered. Ask what warranty repairs cost you.

Sun Valley Solar Solutions reviews: what customers say

Each review site shows its own score; we read them on October 12 and 13, 2026 and do not combine them or add our own rating.

  • Google4.5 / 5213 reviews · Chandler, AZ office listing only, not company-wideRead reviews

The five positive reviews below praise thorough electricians, care for a non-standard system and a battery service visit within 48 hours. The five negative reviews describe a system offline for weeks while a replacement inverter waited, visit fees on warranty parts, sales promises a reviewer says were not kept, a $590 bill for work the reviewer was told was covered, and an off-putting phone call. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask Sun Valley what labor costs on warranty repairs.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (200 reviews read, back to Sep 25, 2018). We found no Trustpilot page for Sun Valley Solar Solutions on October 12, 2026. Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.

How much does Sun Valley Solar Solutions cost?

Sun Valley Solar Solutions does not publish a system price on the pages we reviewed. It says it sends an engineer to inspect the site before you sign so the price is accurate. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and, for a loan or lease, the full amount you will pay. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.

Cash purchase

You own it

You pay up front and own the panels and batteries outright.

Solar loan

You own it

Monthly payments like a home-improvement loan; the system is yours once paid off. The lender is not named.

Prepaid lease (Sun Valley Amicus Impact)

Sun Valley Amicus Leasing LLC owns it

You prepay and get the system’s energy; the leasing company owns and maintains it for five years. From year six you can keep leasing or buy it at its then-current fair market value.

Plans as listed on Sun Valley’s financing options page and prepaid lease page, read October 13, 2026. No PPA is listed.

Sun Valley says it is a Tesla Energy Premier Certified Installer (battery page) and offers all-black panels from SunPower or Silfab (Platinum Installations page). It names no standard inverter. Its Platinum Installation method uses metal conduit, terminal-block junction boxes and an extra sealant layer under roof mounts. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Sun Valley Solar Solutions operate, and which licenses were checked?

Sun Valley’s company page says it provides solar “throughout Arizona,” and its battery page covers APS, SRP and Tucson Electric Power programs (read October 13, 2026). It has city pages for Phoenix, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert and Tucson (read October 14, 2026), but publishes no full list of towns or counties. Licenses

We found 2 active license records in state registries (October 13, 2026). Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.
