Snow, Angles and the Minnesota Production Curve

The economics are generous; the winters are not. What Minnesota production planning has to account for:

  • December output is a fraction of July’s, and full netting is what makes that fine: summer surplus banks against winter bills at retail value.

Who Should Pump the Brakes on Minnesota Solar

Even the region’s best program has its walk-aways:

  • Roofs shaded by mature trees or due for replacement. Full netting cannot credit power you never produce, and re-roofing under panels costs twice.
