The five positive reviews below praise a smooth process, patient answers, a well-run crew and extra effort to satisfy a strict homeowners association. The five negative reviews describe a project the reviewer says took a year, a missed year-end deadline that cost a tax credit, deposits kept after price changes or a cancelled design, and managers who stopped responding. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask Solar Optimum for its deposit refund terms in writing.

How much does Solar Optimum cost?

Solar Optimum does not publish a system price on its financing page. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size and equipment models, and, for a lease, PPA or prepaid lease, the full payment schedule, escalator and buyout terms. Solar Optimum says it uses only tier-one panels and does not name a panel brand on the pages we read. Its menu lists the Enphase IQ Battery 5P and 10C and the Tesla Powerwall 3, and its warranty page refers to microinverters. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh). It also installs roofs and runs a maintenance program.

What does Solar Optimum’s warranty cover?

Company-published terms from Solar Optimum’s warranties page, read October 13, 2026, and battery terms from its Powerwall 3 and Enphase 10C pages, read October 14, 2026. It says the warranties transfer to a new owner if you sell the home. Your signed agreement decides what applies.

Where does Solar Optimum operate, and which licenses were checked?

Solar Optimum’s contact page lists five California offices: Glendale, Benicia, Laguna Niguel, Riverside and San Diego. Its financing page also offers programs in Arizona, and its footer lists Arizona contractor licenses (read October 13, 2026). It also prints a Nevada license number but does not advertise Nevada service. A listed state does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Solar Optimum there.

Licenses

We found 5 active license records in state registries (October 13, 2026, September 8, 2026). Solar Optimum publishes license numbers for Arizona that we have not checked in the registry yet. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

Solar Optimum’s residential page says it holds platinum, elite and premium certifications from its manufacturers, and its homepage shows a Tesla Powerwall Premier installer badge. Its about page says it has installed over 550 MW and cites industry rankings. Its Google Business listing says it is a Qcells certified and REC Gold certified installer. These are company statements; we did not verify them.

Semper Solaris and Palmetto serve both of Solar Optimum’s states. Green Convergence shares California and, like Solar Optimum, does roofing and lists a 25-year warranty. Every fact comes from the company profiles linked below.

Before choosing Solar Optimum

Ask for these in writing:

1. An itemized quote with the cash price and the financed total, including the APR and all fees.
2. The exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kW and the forecast yearly production in kWh.
3. The warranty documents for your payment plan: panels, inverter, labor and roof penetrations.
4. Your local service contact, and who handles utility approval and warranty claims.
5. The exact company on the contract, such as SOLAR OPTIMUM INC, and its license for your state.

How we researched this profile

We read Solar Optimum’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, who we are, contact, residential solar, warranties and residential financing. The California license result is from a registry check on September 8, 2026. On October 14, 2026 we also read its battery product pages and checked its Google Business listing. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. Solar Optimum did not review this page.
