Solar Me Review
Solar, battery and EV charger installer and service companyBased in Monroe Township, New JerseyProfile updated October 15, 2026
Is Solar Me a good choice?
Solar Me fits central New Jersey homeowners who want a local installer, or who need someone to take over a system whose installer is gone. It says it was founded in 2014 and publishes a 30-year workmanship guarantee. Its New Jersey home improvement registration, held by Maier Solar Engineering LLC, was active when we checked on October 14, 2026. It says it offers leasing for qualifying credit but names no leasing company and lists no PPA, so ask which plans it sells and who owns a leased system.

Why choose Solar Me, and why you might not
What Solar Me does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.
Reasons to choose Solar Me
Its warranty on its own work is 30 yearsSolar Me covers its own work for 30 years. Trinity lists 10 years if you pay upfront, and Venture leaves it to your contract. Get the 30-year terms in writing.
Roof leaks are covered tooIts warranty guide says the 30 years include leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Trinity lists 5 years if you pay upfront.
It takes over systems left behindSolar Me services systems whose first installer is gone. That helps if your old installer has closed.
It names many equipment brandsSolar Me names Qcells, REC, Panasonic and Silfab panels, and Generac, Enphase and Tesla Powerwall batteries. Trinity names no brands, and we could not confirm Momentum’s.
Reasons to look at others
It does not name its rent companySolar Me says you can rent the panels if your credit qualifies. It does not say which company owns them, and lists no PPA. Ask who owns the panels and what happens if you sell.
We found no Pennsylvania license recordIts New Jersey registration, as Maier Solar Engineering LLC, was active on October 14, 2026. We found no Pennsylvania record and no New York number. Ask for both, and check them with each state.
Some owners say paid calls came firstIts negative reviews say warranty repairs waited behind paid service calls while panels sat down for months. Ask how fast warranty repairs are booked compared with paid calls.
It lists no towns outside New JerseyIt names five New Jersey counties but no towns in Pennsylvania or New York. Ask if it works at your address.
Solar Me reviews: what customers say
Each review site shows its own score; we read them on October 12 and 13, 2026 and do not combine them or add our own rating.

- Trustpilot3.2 / 51 review · All reviews on its Trustpilot page (listed as Solarmeusa)Read reviews
The five positive reviews below praise respectful, tidy electricians, a roof-replacement reinstall with clear pricing and quick help with batteries. The four negative reviews describe a reviewer reporting that banking details were mishandled, warranty repairs put behind paid service calls while panels sat down for months, a rude salesperson, and a post saying overseas sales reps were not paid. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask Solar Me how quickly warranty repairs are scheduled compared with paid service calls.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (201 reviews read, back to Jun 5, 2020). Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.
How much does Solar Me cost?
Solar Me does not publish its own system price; its pricing page and financing page give general New Jersey examples, some still built on the expired federal credit. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size and equipment models, and for a loan, the financed total with APR, term and fees. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.
Purchase
You own itYou pay the full price and handle maintenance.
Solar loan (FiBank)
You own itThe company names FiBank and says loan terms run 7 to 25 years; rates depend on credit and contractor fees.
Lease
The leasing company owns itIts Tesla Powerwall page says it provides leasing options for qualifying credit scores but does not name the leasing company. Ask who would own the system and what happens if you sell.
Plans as described on Solar Me’s financing page and pricing page (read October 13, 2026) and its Tesla Powerwall page (read October 14, 2026). No PPA is listed as a Solar Me offer.
Solar Me’s brands page lists Qcells, REC, Panasonic, Phono Solar and Silfab panels and Generac PWRcell, Enphase and Tesla Powerwall batteries. Its about page also names LG, Hanwha, Enphase and SolarEdge, and its homepage says it is a Tesla Energy Certified Installer. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
What does Solar Me’s warranty cover?
Coverage | What Solar Me publishes | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
Solar panels | Maker’s warranty; varies by brand | The panel model and its maker’s term. Its brands page describes Panasonic at 25 years and Phono Solar at 15 or 20 years. |
Panel output | Maker’s warranty; varies by brand | Confirm in your proposal: the output guarantee for your panel model and its term. |
Inverter | Not published as a company term | Confirm in your proposal: the inverter model, its maker’s term and who pays labor to replace it. |
Battery | Maker’s warranty; its brands page cites 10 years for the Enphase IQ 5P | The battery model you get and who services it. |
Labor and workmanship | 30 years | What the workmanship guarantee covers and whether it transfers if you sell. Its warranty guide says it covers mounting, flashing, wiring and roof penetrations. |
Roof penetrations | Covered by its 30-year workmanship guarantee, per its warranty guide | That your contract lists roof penetrations under the 30-year workmanship guarantee, and who pays for leak repairs. |
Company-published terms from Solar Me’s homepage, solar panel page and brands page, read October 13, 2026. It has no separate warranty page. Its warranty guide (updated June 23, 2026, read October 14, 2026) says its 30-year workmanship guarantee covers mounting, flashing, wiring and roof penetrations. Your signed agreement decides what applies.
Its solar panel page says its “service and warranty protection last for thirty years.” Ask whether that is the same coverage as the 30-year workmanship guarantee.
Where does Solar Me operate, and which licenses were checked?
Solar Me’s areas page lists Middlesex, Mercer, Somerset, Monmouth and Ocean counties in New Jersey, and its homepage says it serves homeowners and businesses across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York (read October 13, 2026). Its orphan system service page says it serves “PA, NY and the entire state of New Jersey” (read October 14, 2026). It lists no Pennsylvania or New York towns. A listed area does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Solar Me there.

Licenses
We found 1 active license record in state registries (October 14, 2026). We found no record under its name in Pennsylvania; ask for the license number. New York licenses this work through individuals or local permits, not a company license; ask for the license holder’s number. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

How we researched this profile
We read Solar Me’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, about, areas we serve, solar panel service, brands, pricing and financing. On October 14, 2026 we read its terms, warranty guide, Tesla Powerwall and Q Cells pages, battery, roofing, American-made equipment and orphan system service pages, and looked up its Google Business listing.
