Solar, battery and off-grid installerBased in Lander, Wyoming, with an office in Salt Lake City, UtahProfile updated October 14, 2026

Is Creative Energies a good choice?

Creative Energies fits Utah and Wyoming homeowners who want a long-established regional installer, including for off-grid or battery systems. It says it was founded in 2001, has three offices and is a certified B Corp; its storage page says it is certified to install Tesla, Enphase and Franklin batteries. Its FAQ says homeowners can buy a system or take out a solar loan, but it publishes no company warranty terms, so ask for those in writing.

Why choose Creative Energies, and why you might not

What Creative Energies does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.

Reasons to choose Creative Energies

  • It has offices in both its statesCreative Energies has offices in Salt Lake City, Lander and Laramie. It says it has worked since 2001. Ask which office would handle your home.

  • It builds battery and off-grid systemsIt says it is certified to put in Tesla, Enphase and Franklin batteries. It also builds off-grid systems, solar carports and pergolas. Of the three alternatives below, only The Solar Guys also lists off-grid work.

  • It shows the equipment it has usedIts past homes show LG and Qcells panels and Tesla Powerwall batteries. These are examples, not a fixed list. Ask for the exact models in your written quote.

  • Owners praise its clear planningIts head-office Google listing shows 4.8 from 23 reviews. Owners praise clear talks while planning and polite, skilled installers. One owner says the system made the power it was promised.

Reasons to look at others

  • It lists no warranty on its own workCreative Energies publishes no warranty on its own work, the panels, or leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Big Dog Solar lists 10 years on both if you pay upfront. Get every warranty in writing.

  • You can only buy or take a loanIts FAQ lists buying or a solar loan. It names no lender and no loan terms. Ask who the lender is, and for the rate and fees in writing.

  • It shows no license numbersCreative Energies publishes no Utah or Wyoming license number. Ask for both before you sign, and check them with each state.

  • Its reviews do not show how it handles problemsWe found no negative reviews among those we read. That does not tell you how it handles problems. Ask who takes service calls after the install and how fast they respond.

The five positive reviews below praise clear communication during planning, polite and knowledgeable installers, and one owner reports production in line with what the company projected. There were no negative reviews among the reviews we read. Positive reviews alone do not show how a company handles problems. Ask Creative Energies who handles service calls after installation and how production is monitored once the system is running.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (23 reviews read, back to Jan 11, 2018). We found no Trustpilot page for Creative Energies on October 12, 2026. Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.

How much does Creative Energies cost?

Creative Energies does not publish a system price on the pages we reviewed, and it has no financing page; its FAQ names purchase and solar loans only. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, panel, inverter and battery models and forecast yearly production, and for a loan, the lender, APR and financed total. Where does Creative Energies operate, and which licenses were checked?

Creative Energies’ locations page says it serves communities across Utah and Wyoming from offices in Salt Lake City, Lander and Laramie (read October 14, 2026). Its company history says it once also worked in Idaho, but current pages name only Utah and Wyoming. A listed state does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Creative Energies there.

Licenses

How we researched this profile

We read Creative Energies’ own pages on October 14, 2026: homepage, our story, mission, locations, residential solar, energy storage, FAQ, suppliers, support and quote form. We did not check its licenses in a state registry. We also read its learn more, resources, off-grid, contact and team pages and checked its Google Business listings for Lander and Salt Lake City, which show the same addresses. We found no Google listing for Laramie, and the Wyoming and Utah business registries were behind bot checks. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. Creative Energies did not review this page.

Our installer methodology explains what we check.
