Is SunLux a good choice?
SunLux fits Southern California homeowners who want one installer to compare purchase, loan, lease and prepaid lease. Its warranty page says every hardware component, including panels, inverter and racking, is covered for 25 years, and that it handles claims with the manufacturer. It prints its CSLB license, and its about page says it was founded in January 2015. Its leases run through partner Sunrun; ask who holds the warranty on a lease.

Why choose SunLux, and why you might not
What SunLux does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.
Reasons to choose SunLux
Its equipment warranty is 25 yearsSunLux says every part of the system, including panels, inverter and mounting rails, is covered for 25 years. It says it deals with the maker if a part fails. Of the three alternatives below, only Green Convergence lists a 25-year warranty.
You can buy, borrow, rent or prepaySunLux lists four ways to pay: buy, take a loan, rent the panels, or prepay for the power. It says its loans never put a lien on your home.
It names its equipment brandsSunLux shows REC and Qcells panels, Enphase inverters and the Tesla Powerwall 3 battery. You can look up the equipment before a sales visit.
Owners praise clear answersIts good reviews praise clear communication, fair prices and staff who explain each option.
Reasons to look at others
No set warranty on its work or roof leaksSunLux says installation is covered but gives no length. It lists no warranty for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof, or for the battery. Ask for each term in writing.
Some reviews describe leaks and a lost depositIts negative reviews describe two roofs leaking after the install with no fix, and a deposit not refunded after a cancellation. Ask who fixes leaks, and get the refund rules in writing.
Ask who holds the warranty if you rentSunLux says its rent plans run through Sunrun. Its site does not say who owns rented panels or who holds their warranty. Ask before you sign.
We could not find its Texas licenseSunLux prints a Texas electrical license number, but we found no match in the Texas license search. It lists no Texas service area. We also found no Google listing for SunLux.
SunLux reviews: what customers say
We found no Google or Trustpilot reviews for SunLux when we checked in October 2026. Ask the company for references from recent customers in your area.
How much does SunLux cost?
SunLux does not publish a system price on the pages we reviewed. Ask for an itemized quote with the cash price, system size, equipment models and forecast production; for a lease or prepaid lease, ask for the payment, term, any yearly increase and the leasing company’s name. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.

Plans as listed on SunLux’s solar purchasing solutions page, read October 13, 2026.
SunLux’s solar panels page shows REC and Qcells Q.Peak panels and Enphase microinverters, and its homepage features the Tesla Powerwall 3. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

|---|---|---|

Panel output | Not published as a SunLux term | Confirm in your proposal: the output guarantee and its term. |
Inverter | 25 years, per its warranty page | Who pays labor if the inverter is replaced. |
Battery | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: the battery maker’s term and who services it. |

Company-published terms from SunLux’s warranty page, read October 13, 2026. Your signed agreement decides what applies.
On a Sunrun lease or prepaid lease, the leasing company’s warranty may apply instead; ask which one is in your contract.
Where does SunLux operate, and which licenses were checked?
SunLux’s locations page says it serves Southern California and lists Los Angeles, San Diego, Rancho Cucamonga, Rancho Santa Margarita, Irvine, Valencia and Corona (read October 13, 2026). Its about page title also names Texas, and it prints a Texas electrical license, but it lists no Texas service area. A listed city does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with SunLux there.

Licenses
We found 1 active license record in state registries (October 13, 2026). We found no record under its name in Texas; ask for the license number. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

How we researched this profile
We read SunLux’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, about, solar warranty, service guarantee, solar purchasing solutions, solar panels and locations. We did not check its licenses in a state registry. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. SunLux did not review this page.
Our installer methodology explains what we check.
