How much does Solar Alternatives cost?

Solar Alternatives does not publish a system price on the pages we reviewed; it says its prepaid lease price depends on whether your address qualifies for an added federal credit for the system owner. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and, for the lease, the prepayment and the year-6 buyout terms. Solar Alternatives says its prepaid lease systems use Enphase microinverters and Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries, installed by its own crews (prepaid lease page). Its battery page calls Tesla Powerwall its most popular battery, and it also installs Tesla Solar Roof. It does not name a panel brand. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Solar Alternatives operate, and which licenses were checked?

Solar Alternatives’s homepage says it has served Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas since 2008, with offices in New Orleans, Shreveport, Lafayette, Jackson, Houston and Tyler. Its state pages for Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Tennessee say it serves homeowners there, naming cities such as Mobile, Huntsville, Little Rock, Pensacola, Tampa and Nashville, but list no office in those states (read October 14, 2026). A listed city does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with the company there.

3. The warranty documents for your payment plan: panels, inverter, labor and roof penetrations.
4. Your local service contact, and who handles utility approval and warranty claims.
5. The exact company on the contract, such as Solar Alternatives, Inc., and its license for your state.
