The five negative reviews describe a proposal that never arrived, shutdowns one owner says were not fixed under warranty, a wind-damaged panel unrepaired after three months, a project cancelled on installation day and a condescending email. Photon Brothers centers its systems on the Tesla Powerwall 3 (Powerwall page) and says it is a Tesla Premier Certified Installer. It does not name the panel or inverter brands it installs on the pages we read. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Photon Brothers operate, and which licenses were checked?

Photon Brothers’ locations page says it serves the state of Colorado and San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties in California (read October 13, 2026). Its homepage lists Colorado cities from Fort Collins to Pueblo, plus Grand Junction and Alamosa. A listed area does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Photon Brothers there.

1. An itemized quote with the cash price and the financed total, including the APR and all fees.
2. The exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kW and the forecast yearly production in kWh.
3. The warranty documents for your payment plan: panels, inverter, labor and roof penetrations.
4. Your local service contact, and who handles utility approval and warranty claims.
5. The exact company on the contract, such as Photon Brothers, and its license for your state.

How we researched this profile

We read Photon Brothers’ own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, about, locations, financing, purchase options, Energy Service Agreement, lease, FAQs, Tesla Powerwall, roofing, detach and reroof, and one roof blog post. On October 14, 2026 its site showed a bot check, so we read no new company pages; we checked the Colorado Secretary of State business registry and looked up its Google Business listing. We did not check licenses in a state registry. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. Photon Brothers did not review this page.
