Is Namaste Solar a good choice?

Namaste Solar fits Colorado Front Range homeowners who want an established local installer that also services systems other companies built. It says it started in Colorado in 2005 and is an employee-owned cooperative and Certified B Corporation. Its FAQ lists a 10-year workmanship warranty, and it offers cash, loans, a prepaid ESA and a PPA. If you choose the ESA or PPA, get the ownership and buyout terms in writing.

Why choose Namaste Solar, and why you might not

What Namaste does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.

Reasons to choose Namaste

  • It names its exact panelsNamaste says it uses Mission panels made in San Antonio, Texas. It offers Enphase and Tesla Powerwall batteries. Of the three alternatives below, only Big Dog shows a panel brand, and only as a logo.

  • Its workers own the companyNamaste says it is owned by its employees and has worked in Colorado since 2005. It also services systems that other companies put in.

  • It spells out its warrantiesNamaste lists 25 years on the panels, 30 years on how much power they make, and 12 to 25 years on the inverter, the box that turns solar power into home power. Its own work has 10 years.

  • You can buy, borrow or prepayNamaste lists buying, a loan, a prepaid plan, and a PPA (you pay for the power; the company owns the panels). Its PPA is run by LightReach, part of Palmetto.

Reasons to look at others

  • No set warranty for roof leaksNamaste lists no separate warranty for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Big Dog lists 10 years. It gives no term for the Tesla Powerwall. Ask for both in writing.

  • It prints no Colorado licenseIts site shows license numbers for California and Rhode Island, which do not apply to Colorado homes. It shows no Colorado number. Ask for it and check it before you sign.

  • Its prepaid plan has an unnamed ownerWith its prepaid plan, you pay for the first five years upfront. A company it does not name owns the system in that time. It does not name its loan lender either. Ask who owns the panels and who you pay.

  • We found no Google reviews to readWe found no Google listing for Namaste, so we read no owner reviews. Ask for the names of nearby owners you can call.

How much does Namaste Solar cost?

Namaste Solar does not publish a price for your system; its cost and financing page gives only a broad average range and says its non-commissioned design specialists price each home. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and, for a loan, ESA or PPA, the rate, payment schedule, buyout terms and total cost. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.

Cash purchase

You own it

You own the system from day one.

$0-down loan

You own it

Namaste says it offers $0-down loan options, or you can bring your own loan. The lender is not named.

Namaste Solar Impact ESA (prepaid)

A commercial entity owns it for at least five years

You prepay the first five years. Its ESA page says an eligible commercial entity, which it does not name, owns the system during that term and Namaste does the maintenance. From year 6 you can buy the system at fair market value set by an independent assessor, or continue with fixed monthly payments through year 15.

PPA

LightReach by Palmetto owns it

You pay for the electricity the system produces. Its PPA page says LightReach by Palmetto owns the system, handles service and offers buyout options.

Plans as listed on Namaste Solar’s cost and financing page, read October 13, 2026, and its Impact ESA page and PPA page, read October 14, 2026.

Namaste Solar’s panel guide (updated August 2026, read October 14, 2026) says it uses Mission 435 to 440 watt panels made in San Antonio, Texas. Its battery page says it currently offers the Enphase 5P and Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries, and it describes a long partnership with Enphase. Its service FAQ points owners to Enphase, SolarEdge and Tesla support. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Namaste Solar operate, and which licenses were checked?

Namaste Solar’s why Namaste page says it installs from south Denver to Fort Collins and in some nearby mountain communities, and its service page says it works across Colorado’s Front Range (read October 13, 2026). It lists offices in Longmont and Denver. The Colorado Secretary of State lists Namaste Solar Electric, Inc. in good standing, registered in Colorado on February 2, 2005, with its principal office at the Longmont address (state record, checked October 14, 2026). A listed area does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Namaste Solar there.

Licenses

We have not checked Namaste’s licenses in a state registry yet, and its website does not list license numbers we could match. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.
