The five negative reviews describe poor office communication and a worker falling through a ceiling, a shaded system with slow service, a 2025 install that missed the tax credit deadline, an Enphase monitor with no reply, and work reported as unfinished. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask Morton how it sets install dates and who answers service calls.

How much does Morton Solar cost?

Morton Solar does not publish a system price; its FAQ says the price depends on system size and offers a free quote. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and, if you finance, the financed total with APR and fees. Morton Solar’s state pages name Q CELLS panels made in the USA, Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries and inverters, and IronRidge racking (Illinois page, Indiana page). Its products page also names QCells, SEG and JA Solar all-black panels and Enphase microinverters. The same pages list a microinverter warranty, so ask whether your design uses microinverters or a Tesla inverter. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Morton Solar operate, and which licenses were checked?

Morton Solar’s homepage says it serves southern Indiana, southern Illinois and western Kentucky from Evansville (read October 13, 2026). Its Indiana page lists 16 counties, including Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Dubois, Knox and Monroe. It also has an office in Mount Carmel, Illinois. A listed area does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Morton there.

5. The exact company on the contract, such as Morton Solar, and its license for your state.

We read Morton Solar’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, our story, residential, Tesla Powerwall, FAQs, contact, partnering brands, and its Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky solar pages. We did not check any license in a registry. On October 14, 2026 we also read its products, starter packages and about pages and checked its Google Business listing.
