Why choose Susitna Energy Solutions, and why you might not
What Susitna does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.
Reasons to choose Susitna
It sells and installs from one shopSusitna sells solar equipment from its Anchorage store and says it installs across Alaska. It lists systems for homes with power-company service and for off-grid homes.
It stocks gear for off-grid cabinsIts store sells propane, solar and regular appliances, heaters and portable power stations. That can help if you power a cabin or remote camp.
Owners praise its patient helpIts head-office Google listing shows 5 from 31 reviews. Owners praise patient, well-informed help, quick appointments and good service on heaters and parts.
Reasons to look at others
It lists no warranty at allSusitna publishes no warranty on the panels, on its own work, or for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Alaska Solar and RES publish none either. Get every warranty in writing before you sign.
It does not say how you can payIts site lists no loan, rent or PPA plan. RES lists buying and a loan. Ask which plans Susitna offers and who would own the panels.
No license number or brands listedSusitna prints no Alaska license number and names no panel, inverter or battery brand it installs. Alaska Solar prints its license number. Ask for both in your written quote.
Its home install record is unclearThe reviews we read describe small jobs on campers and an SUV, not home roofs. Its site is mostly an online store. Ask whether it designs full home systems, and for past home jobs you can see.
Susitna Energy Solutions reviews: what customers say
Each review site shows its own score; we read them on October 12 and 13, 2026 and do not combine them or add our own rating.
- Google5 / 531 reviews · Anchorage, AK office listing only, not company-wideRead reviews
The five positive reviews below praise patient, knowledgeable help with small solar and electrical work on campers and an SUV, quick appointments and good service on heaters and parts; none describe a home rooftop install. There were no negative reviews among the reviews we read. Positive reviews alone do not show how a company handles problems. Ask Susitna whether it designs and installs full home systems and who handles service afterward.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (31 reviews read, back to Aug 16, 2017). We found no Trustpilot page for Susitna Energy Solutions on October 12, 2026. Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.
How much does Susitna Energy Solutions cost?
Susitna does not publish prices for installed solar systems; its homepage is an online store for equipment and appliances. Ask for an itemized quote showing the system price, size, equipment models and installation labor. Its homepage advertises a 30% renewable energy tax credit; the federal residential solar credit ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, so ask what credit the banner means before counting on it. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.
Payment plans
Ask the companyNo financing, lease or PPA options are listed on its site.
Susitna’s website lists no payment plans for installed systems (read October 13, 2026).
Susitna’s homepage features the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max portable power station and says it sells propane, DC/solar and AC appliances and alternative heaters. It does not name the panel, inverter or battery brands it installs. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the expected yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
What does Susitna Energy Solutions’s warranty cover?
Coverage | What Susitna publishes | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
Solar panels | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: the panel maker and its warranty term. |
Panel output | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: the output guarantee and its term. |
Inverter | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: the inverter model, its maker’s term and who pays labor to replace it. |
Battery | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: the battery maker’s term and who services it. |
Labor and workmanship | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: the installation warranty term and what it covers. |
Roof penetrations | Not published | Confirm in your proposal: who repairs and pays if a leak starts at a panel mount. |
Susitna publishes no warranty terms. We read its homepage and news page on October 13, 2026; its other pages were not available during a site rebuild. Your signed agreement decides what applies.
The store’s refund policy says product defects and warranty claims go through each maker’s warranty process. It is a store policy, not an installation warranty.
Where does Susitna Energy Solutions operate, and which licenses were checked?
Susitna’s homepage lists statewide installation services and describes the company as rooted in Alaska, from its Anchorage location (read October 13, 2026). No regions are listed. A listed state does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Susitna there.

Licenses
We have not checked Susitna’s licenses in a state registry yet, and its website does not list license numbers we could match. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

How we researched this profile
We read Susitna Energy Solutions’ website on October 13, 2026: homepage, news page and its site map. Its online store says it is being upgraded, and common information pages returned page-not-found. We did not check licenses in a state registry. On October 14, 2026 we also read its refund policy and checked its Alaska business registry records (through OpenCorporates) and its Google Business listing. The registry lists the older Susitna Energy Systems, Inc. as removed and Susitna Energy Solutions, LLC in good standing. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit the store or interview customers. Susitna Energy Solutions did not review this page.
Our installer methodology explains what we check.
