Is Seal Solar a good choice?

Seal Solar fits central Arkansas homeowners who want solar with a Tesla Powerwall for backup power. Its MicroGrid package pairs a set system with a Powerwall 3 and advertises a 30-year warranty, but only for homes within an hour’s drive of its office. Outside that package, its FAQ lists only a 1-year workmanship warranty. Ask which warranty applies to your system before you sign.

Why choose Seal Solar, and why you might not

What Seal Solar does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.

Reasons to choose Seal Solar

  • It sells solar with a backup batteryIts MicroGrid package pairs a set solar system with a Tesla Powerwall 3, a battery that keeps power on in an outage. It advertises a 30-year warranty on this package. It is only for homes within an hour’s drive of its office.

  • It lists loans as well as cashYou can pay cash or take a loan from its lending partners, with terms from 5 to 25 years. Of the three alternatives below, only Stitt also lists a loan.

  • It has the most Google reviews hereIts head-office Google listing shows 4.8 from 102 reviews. That is the most reviews in the table below. Good reviews praise skilled service staff and a smooth install.

Reasons to look at others

  • Its warranty on its own work is 1 yearOutside the MicroGrid package, Seal Solar covers its own work for only 1 year. Stitt lists 5 years and Sun City 2. Ask which warranty applies to you, and what the 30-year one covers.

  • It prints no license numberSeal Solar shows no Arkansas license number on its site. Ask for it and check it with the state before you sign.

  • Some owners report breakdowns and slow helpIts negative reviews describe bills that did not drop, an inverter that failed again and again with paid service visits, and calls with no answer. Ask what a repair visit costs under warranty, and how fast it comes.

  • It names no panel brand or leak coverSeal Solar names no panel or inverter brand. It lists no warranty for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Ask for the models and the leak cover in writing.

Seal Solar reviews: what customers say

Each review site shows its own score; we read them on October 12 and 13, 2026 and do not combine them or add our own rating.

The five positive reviews below praise knowledgeable service technicians, a salesman who kept the owner informed and a smooth install. The three negative reviews describe bills the reviewers say did not drop as expected, including one that doubled, repeated inverter failures with paid service visits, and calls that went unanswered while systems were down. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask Seal Solar what service visits cost under warranty and how quickly it responds when a system stops working.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (102 reviews read, back to Sep 6, 2016). We found no Trustpilot page for Seal Solar on October 12, 2026. Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.

How much does Seal Solar cost?

Seal Solar does not publish a price for a custom system on the pages we reviewed; it lists what its MicroGrid package includes. Ask for an itemized quote with the cash price, system size, equipment models and forecast production, and, if you finance, the financed total with APR and fees. Its residential page says incentives are “set to expire soon”; the federal residential credit already ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.

Financing through national solar lending partners with terms from 5 to 25 years; the company says zero-down options exist.

Plans as listed on Seal Solar’s FAQ and residential page, read October 13, 2026. No lease or PPA is listed.

Seal Solar names Tesla Powerwall 3 as the battery in its MicroGrid package, but does not name panel or inverter brands on the pages we read. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Seal Solar operate, and which licenses were checked?

Seal Solar’s contact page says it provides services throughout Arkansas (read October 13, 2026). Its MicroGrid package requires a home within an hour’s drive of its North Little Rock office. A statewide claim does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Seal Solar there.

Licenses

We have not checked Seal Solar’s licenses in a state registry yet, and its website does not list license numbers we could match. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

How we researched this profile

We read Seal Solar’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, residential solar, MicroGrid package, Tesla Powerwall, FAQ, service FAQ, team, mission and contact. We did not check a license in a state registry. On October 14, 2026 we also checked its Google Business listing, which shows the same North Little Rock address; its own site was behind a bot check that day. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. Seal Solar did not review this page.

Our installer methodology explains what we check.
