Is RevoluSun a good choice?

RevoluSun fits Oahu homeowners who want solar with a battery, which it says is now standard on every system. It says it has worked in Hawaii since 2009 and prints its contractor license, CT-30244. It offers cash, several local loans and its own Smart Power PPA with buyout points. It publishes no solar workmanship warranty term outside the PPA’s 25-year guarantee, so get the term in writing if you buy.

Reasons to choose RevoluSun

  • A battery comes with every systemRevoluSun says a battery is now standard on every system. It names the Tesla Powerwall as its main battery choice, with Tesla’s 10-year warranty.

  • It has many ways to payYou can buy, take a loan from one of three named lenders, or repay through your power bill with GEMS. Or take its Smart Power PPA (you pay for the power; RevoluSun owns the panels), monthly or prepaid.

  • Its PPA has a 25-year guaranteeOn its Smart Power PPA, RevoluSun covers performance, warranty and service for 25 years. You can buy the system at year 7, 10, 15 or 20. Ask for the buyout price.

  • It also does AC and water heatingRevoluSun also puts in air conditioning and solar water heating. It says it has worked in Hawaii since 2009, and it prints its contractor license number.

Reasons to look at others

  • No set warranty on its work if you buyIf you buy, RevoluSun publishes no warranty on its own work. AEI and Hawaii Energy Connection list 10 years. Get the term in writing before you sign.

  • No set warranty for roof leaksRevoluSun lists no warranty for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Ask who fixes a leak there, who pays, and for how long.

  • It does not say which panels it usesIts current pages name no panel or inverter brand. Older pages mention SunPower and other makers. Ask for the exact models in your written quote.

  • Some repairs took monthsIts negative reviews describe a repair still waiting after nearly two months, an inverter swap that took about three months, and new panels wired backwards. Ask how long service tickets take.

How much does RevoluSun cost?

RevoluSun does not publish a price for your system; its residential solar page gives only a general Hawaii cost range. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and battery, and for a loan or PPA, the lender or contract, rate, buyout schedule and total payments. Its pages still cite the federal credit, which ended for home systems placed in service after December 31, 2025; check any savings figure against that. RevoluSun names Tesla Powerwall as its top battery choice on its energy storage page and says it is a Tesla Powerwall installer. Its current pages name no panel or inverter brand. An older residential PV page, dated November 2023, calls it a SunPower Elite Dealer, and its warranty, panel and inverter document libraries hold files for SunPower, Panasonic, Hyundai, SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA and Fronius products; none of these pages says what it installs today. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Company-published terms from RevoluSun’s energy storage page and offers page, read October 13, 2026. It has no solar warranty page. Your signed agreement decides what applies.

Its 12-year warranty page covers HVAC installs only, and the 10-year “products and installation” banner in its menu sits under solar hot water. Neither is a solar PV term.

Where does RevoluSun operate, and which licenses were checked?

RevoluSun lists one office in Honolulu and calls itself a Honolulu installer on its homepage; its residential FAQ says it has installed systems “across the islands” (read October 13, 2026). Its older residential PV page, dated November 2023, says it has installed systems on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai and the Big Island (read October 14, 2026). Its current pages name Oahu neighborhoods but no other island. A listed area does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with RevoluSun there.

  2. The exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kW and the forecast yearly production in kWh.
  3. The warranty documents for your payment plan: panels, inverter, labor and roof penetrations.
  4. Your local service contact, and who handles utility approval and warranty claims.
  5. The exact company on the contract, such as RevoluSun LLC, and its license for your state.

We read RevoluSun’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, about, residential, Hawaii residential solar, energy storage, Tesla Powerwall, offers and financing, contact and HVAC warranty. On October 14, 2026 we read its prepaid and monthly Smart Power pages, residential PV page, warranty, panel and inverter document libraries, location and FAQ pages from its sitemap, and looked up its Google Business listing.
