Is Full Spectrum Solar a good choice?

Full Spectrum Solar fits southern Wisconsin homeowners who want a local installer with its own electricians and service department. It says it has installed solar in Wisconsin since 2002, uses no commissioned salespeople and services systems other companies installed. It publishes no workmanship or roof penetration term and lists no financing for homes. Ask for the warranty documents and payment options in writing.

Why choose Full Spectrum Solar, and why you might not

What Full Spectrum does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.

Reasons to choose Full Spectrum

  • Its Google score is the highest hereIts head-office Google listing shows 5 from 206 reviews. That is the highest score in the table below. Owners praise neat work, clear answers and no pressure to buy.

  • It fixes systems other companies put inFull Spectrum has its own electricians and its own service team. It says it also services systems that other companies installed. Two owners say it took their panels off and put them back smoothly after hail hit their roofs.

  • Its sales staff are not paid by the saleFull Spectrum says it uses no salespeople who earn a commission. It says it has put in solar in Wisconsin since 2002.

  • It names the batteries it usesIt mainly uses Enphase batteries, and also offers Tesla, SolarEdge, FranklinWH and Generac. You can look these up before a sales visit.

Reasons to look at others

  • It lists no warranty on its own workFull Spectrum publishes no warranty on its own work or for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Arch lists 5 years on its work, and Certasun lists 10. Get both in writing.

  • It lists only one way to payIts pages are written for people who buy the system outright. It lists no loan, no rent plan and no PPA. Ask what financing it can arrange.

  • No panel brands or license numberFull Spectrum names no panel or inverter brand. It prints no Wisconsin license number. Ask for the exact models in your written quote, and ask for its license number.

  • Its reviews do not show how it handles problemsWe found no negative reviews among those we read. That does not tell you how it handles problems. Ask who takes service calls after the install and how fast they respond.

Full Spectrum Solar reviews: what customers say

Each review site shows its own score; we read them on October 12 and 13, 2026 and do not combine them or add our own rating.

  • Google5 / 5206 reviews · Madison, WI office listing only, not company-wideRead reviews

The five positive reviews below praise quick, clear communication, neat installations finished on time and on budget, and no-pressure sales, and two owners report panels removed and reinstalled smoothly after hail damage to their roofs. There were no negative reviews among the reviews we read. Positive reviews alone do not show how a company handles problems. Ask Full Spectrum how it handles panel removal and reinstallation if your roof needs work later.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (200 reviews read, back to Dec 27, 2016). We found no Trustpilot page for Full Spectrum Solar on October 12, 2026. Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.

How much does Full Spectrum Solar cost?

Full Spectrum Solar publishes a planning calculator on its homepage that uses a stated per-watt base price, but it says the result is not a quote. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size and equipment models, and which incentives, if any, it assumed. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.

Purchase

You own it

Its FAQ and calculator are written for buyers. No residential loan, lease or PPA is listed; ask what financing it can arrange.

Based on Full Spectrum Solar’s FAQ and homepage calculator, read October 13, 2026. Its nonprofit page describes bridge loans and long-term financing through Legacy Solar Co-op for organizations, not homeowners.

Full Spectrum Solar does not name panel or inverter brands on the pages we read; its homepage mentions “North American product options.” Its battery page says it mainly designs with Enphase batteries and also offers Tesla, SolarEdge, FranklinWH and Generac. Its roof attachment article says flashing plates under the shingles are its first choice on asphalt roofs. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Full Spectrum Solar operate, and which licenses were checked?

Full Spectrum Solar’s homepage says its work is concentrated around Madison and southeastern Wisconsin, with offices in Madison and Waukesha (read October 13, 2026). A listed area does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Full Spectrum Solar there.

Licenses

We have not checked Full Spectrum’s licenses in a state registry yet, and its website does not list license numbers we could match. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.
