How much does Aegis Solar Energy cost?

Aegis does not publish a system price on the pages we reviewed. It offers a free assessment and an estimate that includes the system’s expected energy production. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and the production figure it guarantees. Its solar electric page still describes a state rebate and federal tax credit; the federal credit ended for homeowner-owned systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, so ask what incentives apply today. Aegis lists no payment plans on the pages we read on October 13, 2026 (solutions page). Ask whether it offers cash only or works with a lender, lease or PPA provider.

Aegis names no panel, inverter or battery brands on its solar electric page. It designs grid-tied and off-grid systems, roof or ground mounted, and also installs solar hot water and pool heating. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh) that the company guarantees.

What does Aegis Solar Energy’s warranty cover?

Where does Aegis Solar Energy operate, and which licenses were checked?

Aegis’s about page says it completes residential, institutional and commercial projects “throughout the state” of Connecticut (read October 13, 2026). Its town programs page (read October 14, 2026) lists 13 towns in the Connecticut Solar Challenge group-purchase program: Bethany, Branford, Chester, Clinton, East Hampton, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, North Branford, Old Saybrook, Westbrook and Woodbridge. A listed state or town does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Aegis there.

Aegis’s about page lists memberships in Solar Connecticut, the Connecticut Green Building Council, the U.S. Green Building Council, the American Solar Energy Society and the Solar Energy Industries Association, and says it sponsors the Connecticut Department of Labor apprenticeship program. 4. Your local service contact, and who handles utility approval and warranty claims.
5. The exact company on the contract, such as Aegis Solar Energy, and its license for your state.

How we researched this profile

We read Aegis Solar Energy’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, about, solutions, solar electric, staff and events. On October 14, 2026 we read its town programs, solar hot water, pool heating and stories pages, checked the Connecticut business registry and looked up its Google Business listing. Its site blocks some automated visits, so on October 13 we read it through a text-rendering service that loads the live pages. We did not check a contractor license in a state registry ourselves. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. Aegis did not review this page.
