Is Goldin Solar a good choice?

Goldin Solar fits South Florida and Treasure Coast homeowners who want a custom-designed system with battery backup. It says it has installed solar since 2014, names the panel and inverter brands it uses, and prints its Florida solar and electrical licenses on its site. It publishes no workmanship warranty and does not say which financing it offers. Get the warranty terms and the exact payment plan in writing before you sign.

Why choose Goldin Solar, and why you might not

What Goldin does well, and where to be careful, compared with the installers it competes with most.

Reasons to choose Goldin

  • It names its equipment brandsGoldin names Tesla, REC, Hanwha and Canadian Solar panels, and Tesla, SolarEdge and Enphase inverters. For batteries it names the Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sol-Ark. Brilliant Harvest names no panel brand.

  • It designs each system for your homeGoldin says it designs each system to fit the home, often with battery backup. It says an engineer on its staff checks each design. It says it has put in solar since 2014.

  • It shows its license numbersGoldin prints its Florida solar and electrical license numbers on its site. You can check them with the state before you sign.

  • Some owners praise its repairsIts head-office Google listing shows 4.4 from 163 reviews. Good reviews praise a large job handled from design to permits, and warranty repairs on inverters, panels and batteries.

Reasons to look at others

  • It lists no warranty on its own workGoldin lists no warranty on its own work or for leaks where the panels are bolted to the roof. Only the Powerwall’s 10-year warranty is listed. Freedom Power lists 25 years on its work. Ask Goldin for every warranty in writing.

  • It does not say how financing worksGoldin offers monthly payments but does not say if that is a loan, renting the panels or a PPA. Ask who provides it and who owns the panels.

  • Some reviews describe very long installsTwo negative reviews tell matching stories of an install that took almost two years, a price raised partway through, and a system down for months. Ask for a written timeline and a fixed price.

  • Some reviews describe slow serviceOther negative reviews describe service calls that were not returned and a pushy salesperson. Ask how long service requests usually take.

The five positive reviews below praise a large install from design through permitting and warranty repairs on inverters, panels and batteries, though one notes a two-week wait without updates. Two negative reviews tell matching stories of a nearly two-year install, a mid-project price increase and a system down for months; the other three describe unreturned service calls, a reported warranty threat over reviews and a pushy salesperson. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask Goldin how long service tickets usually take.

How we picked these: the five newest 5-star and the five newest 1- or 2-star reviews with written text on Google and Trustpilot, as of October 2026 (165 reviews read, back to Sep 11, 2015). Each quote is one sentence, word for word. Picking the highest and lowest ratings shows the range of experiences; it is not a representative sample, and we did not verify what reviewers describe.

How much does Goldin Solar cost?

Goldin Solar does not publish a system price on the pages we reviewed. Ask for an itemized quote showing the cash price, system size, equipment models and, if you finance, the lender, the financed total, APR and fees. For state price ranges, see our solar panel cost guide; for how the plans compare, see loans, leases and PPAs.

Financing (type not named)

Ask the company

Goldin says it offers flexible financing with monthly payments but does not say whether this is a loan, lease or PPA, or who provides it.

Plans as described in the FAQ on Goldin’s residential solar page, read October 13, 2026. No specific loan, lease, PPA or cash terms are listed.

Goldin’s services page says it uses panels from Tesla, REC, Hanwha and Canadian Solar, and inverters from Tesla, SolarEdge and Enphase. For storage it names the Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sol-Ark. It also mentions Tesla solar roofing on its about page. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Where does Goldin Solar operate, and which licenses were checked?

Goldin’s contact page lists service areas in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, the Treasure Coast, Vero Beach, Melbourne and Orlando (read October 13, 2026). A listed city does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with Goldin there.

Licenses

We found 3 active license records in state registries (October 13, 2026). Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

Goldin’s about page says each design is reviewed and certified by a Goldin Solar Professional Engineer. This is a company statement; we did not verify it.

How we researched this profile

We read Goldin Solar’s own pages on October 13, 2026: homepage, about, residential, services, contact, solar basics and Miami service page. We did not check licenses in a state registry. On October 14, 2026 we also checked its Florida business registry record (through OpenCorporates) and its Google Business listing; its site showed a bot check that day. We did not buy a system, request a quote, visit an office or interview customers. Goldin Solar did not review this page.

Our installer methodology explains what we check.
