The five positive reviews below praise responsive service, meticulous installs and fair prices, and one owner reports a battery system that ran the home through a multi-day outage. The three negative reviews describe a panel repair the reviewer says was missed at five scheduled visits, a complaint about a representative’s conduct, and a visitor who found no sign at the listed address. These are issues to ask about, not a measure of how often they happen. Ask ARP who handles repair visits and how quickly it schedules them.

How much does ARP Solar cost?

ARP Solar does not publish a price for a specific system; its residential page gives only a broad average range and offers a free quote after a site survey. Ask for an itemized proposal with the cash price, system size, equipment models and, for a loan, the financed total with APR and fees. Its pages still say a 30% solar tax credit reduces the cost; the federal residential credit ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, so ask ARP to confirm in writing that no federal residential credit is deducted from your quote. ARP Solar says it partners with tier one panel makers and keeps its own equipment stock, but names no panel, inverter or battery brand on the pages we read. A customer testimonial on its homepage mentions LG panels and a SolarEdge inverter on an older install; that is not a current equipment list. Your written proposal should list the exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kilowatts (kW) and the forecast yearly production in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

What does ARP Solar’s warranty cover?

Where does ARP Solar operate, and which licenses were checked?

ARP Solar’s residential page says it serves Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky and lists cities in each, from Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati to Charleston, Morgantown and Louisville (read October 13, 2026). Its about page says it is located in Southeastern Ohio. A listed city does not mean every address qualifies or that EcoGen can connect you with ARP Solar there.

Licenses

We found 2 active license records in state registries (October 13, 2026). We found no record under its name in Kentucky; ask for the license number. Check the license yourself under the exact business name on your contract. A license check confirms registration, not workmanship quality.

ARP Solar’s about page says its founder is a NABCEP-certified PV installation professional and a master electrician, and sits on the board of Green Energy Ohio. These are company statements; we did not verify them.

Ask for these in writing:

1. An itemized quote with the cash price and the financed total, including the APR and all fees.
2. The exact panel, inverter and battery models, the system size in kW and the forecast yearly production in kWh.
3. The warranty documents for your payment plan: panels, inverter, labor and roof penetrations.
4. Your local service contact, and who handles utility approval and warranty claims.
5. The exact company on the contract, such as Appalachian Renewable Power, and its license for your state.
