Cypress Creek Renewables Expands Footprint Acquisition100MW Transmission Plant New York

Cypress Creek Renewables has made another significant move, acquiring a 100MW transmission plant from Carson Power to bolster its operations within the New York Independent System Operators (NYISO). Situated near Rochester, NY, the project is currently in its early stages, with plans to be operational by 2026.

Known for its robust portfolio in solar and storage projects nationwide, Cypress Creek Renewables boasts an impressive track record, having developed over 11GW of storage and solar projects to date. In New York alone, the company has successfully deployed more than 35 solar energy projects and energy storage systems, showcasing its commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure in the state.

But Cypress Creek's ambitions don't stop there. With a pipeline of 15GW in storage and solar projects, the company is poised for further expansion. Currently, Cypress Creek is actively developing 55 additional distributed generation, utility-scale, and standalone energy storage projects throughout New York, solidifying its position as a key player in the state's renewable energy sector.

In recognition of its efforts, Cypress Creek recently received a Renewable Energy Certificate (NYSERDA) from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority for its 130MW Bear Ridge project in Western New York, underscoring its dedication to driving sustainable energy solutions forward.
